Please read carefully the present terms and proceed with the use of the website and the transaction-donation via this site, only after having agreed with the content of these terms.

According to the laws applicable and in force, the present terms do not breach any of your legal rights.

1. Definitions

 In the present context, for the sake of brevity, the following definitions are provided, as follows:

  • Association: the charity association named “SOS Children Villages of Greece”, which, pursuant to the laws applicable and in force, is entitled to receive subscriptions / contributions / monetary donations and to issue, in relation to them, the relevant tax information within a reasonable time period from the time receiving the donation.
  • Member: The User who has been subscribed on the Website by providing personal details for a comprehensive communication and information. The member can make a donation by electronic means, as described below in paragraph 4.
  • Purpose: the financial assistance to the “Social Centres – Family Stregthening Programs” which are supported by the Association and offer to hundreds of families throughout Greece material, counseling, psychological and educational support by providing a financial aid – donation amounting at least to €0.20 per pay.
  • User- Visitor: The individual – visitor of the Website, who is able to navigate on all pages and to be informed of the action / activities / purposes of the Association, to his advantages. The user must subscribe as a member of the Website in order to be able to proceed with a donation to the Association.

2. The Website

The present Website constitutes an online service of the Association, which is addressed to sensitized members/users and provides a simple user with the possibility to financially contribute for the purposes of Social Centres – Family Stregthening Programs of SOS Children Villages of Greece. The present terms and conditions cover the use of the website <http://sos-villages.itglobal.gr> and the mutual reinforcing relationship between the members/users and the Association. 3. Purpose of Terms and Conditions of Use

The present Terms and Conditions of Use determine the terms of use of our website and services among the users, members, visitors and the Association. By using the present website, you agree that you have been aware of the following terms and conditions. The present Terms and Conditions cannot be amended without the written consent of the Association.

The Users, Members, Visitors of the Website are asked to read carefully the present terms of use and proceed with the use of the provided services, only after having accepted them in their entirety. Upon anyone’s subscription/use/visit, it is deemed and presumed that, the member/user/visitor has been aware of the terms of use, unreservedly accepts the terms described herein, without any exception, and waives any right of claim that may arise from the use of the Website’s services. If any member/user/visitor do not agree with the present terms, must refrain from using the Website and from any transaction-donation via this website.

The Terms and Conditions may, at any time, be amended without any prior notification. The Terms and Conditions applicable and in force are these that are in force at the time of visiting the Website. Any amendments on the Terms and Conditions are possible and the users of the website are responsible to periodically check whether there have been any amendments to the present terms of use.

The use of the Website by any user, member, visitor, is made at its own risk and responsibility. The content of this website does not constitute and shall in no way be interpreted as provision of advice, direct or indirect urge of visitors/members to proceed with any action. The assessment of the website’s content is left to the discretion of each member, which undertakes the responsibility of using any part of this website.

The Website reserves the right to temporarily or permanently suspend all or part of services without any prior notification, at its absolute discretion.

4. Donations

Your donations to the Social Centres – Family Stregthening Programs of the Association are made directly and immediately, by credit or debit card (VISA, MASRECARD, MAESTRO), by means of EASY PAY in collaboration with Piraeus Bank or by PAY PAL. In particular, after the submission of the donor’s information and his card’s details in the registration platform of the present Website, in case of payment by means of EASY PAY, a standing order is given to Piraeus Bank pursuant to which the bank account/card of the donor will be monthly credited/debited with the donation amount chosen and registered, for an indefinite time period. 

In case where the donor wishes to amend or suspend the aforementioned monthly standing order that has given, if the payment has been made by means of EASY PAY, he is obliged to address solely and exclusively Piraeus Bank, Cards Department (tel.No.: +30210 3288000) in order to declare his wish to amend or suspend the standing order of the monthly donation that has been registered, whereas, if the payment has been made by PAY PAL, he is obliged to address to the latter’s competent service. It is explicitly noted that the Association and the present Website managed by the former have no liability, responsibility or competency to amend or suspend the monthly standing order which has been given by the donor to Piraeus Bank or to PAY PAL and have neither the ability nor the authority to proceed themselves with the relevant modification.

In any case the aforementioned transactions are subject to the general terms of payment services as determined by Piraeus Bank and PAY PAL service, respectively.

5. Disclaimer (Limitation of Liability)of Website

The Website seeks by all means the best possible service of its users, by making the outmost effort, for the information and the entire content of the Website to be governed by accuracy, correctness, clarity, sufficiency and availability. However, the Website cannot guarantee, with regards to the suitability of its content, for any use, application or purpose.  Under any circumstances, including negligence, the Website is not liable for any loss that may occur to the Website’s user caused by the use of the Website, to which the user proceeds on his own initiative and upon acknowledgement of the present Terms of Use.

Likewise, the Website does not warrant that both itself and any other related website or servers by means of which the content of the Website is made available to its users, are provided without “viruses” or other harmful elements.

The Website, under no circumstances and under any conditions, including negligence, is not liable for subsequent, incidental, indirect, special damages or expenses or penalties arising from any third parties’ claims that may occur by or in relation with the use, copy or presentation of the this Website or its contents or any other related website, regardless of whether the Website has been updated, informed, aware or should be aware of this possibility.

6. Personal Data

The information provided to our website are subject to elaboration according to what is described in section “Collection – Elaboration- Protection of Personal Data” of the terms of use provided in the Association’s website which relates to the e-shop (see <http://www.sos-villages.gr/shop/gr/terms.php>). By providing your details and by using the present website, it is deemed that you declare that you have been aware of the Personal Data Protection Policy of our association and that you grant your consent for the elaboration of the details and the information provided to us.  Furthermore, you declare that all information and details provided are true and accurate.

7. Online Correspondence and Personal Communication – Cookies

By using the Website, the members, users, visitors, consent to receive correspondence via e-mail, telephone or post, if we have been provided with their respective contact details.  You should not use the present Website for any unlawful purpose or to seek the execution of any illegal activity or any other activity, which breaches the rights of the Association or third parties.

The Website may make use of cookies to identify the visitor/user of certain services and pages (e.g. newsletters) in order to provide essential services such as: donation statement, personal settings etc. Cookies are small alphanumerical text files stored in the hard disk of each visitor/user and do not have knowledge of any document or file of its computer. Cookies are used to facilitate the access of the visitor/user to particular services of the Website, for statistical purposes in order to determine the areas in which the Website’s services are useful or popular or for marketing reasons. 9.  Underage Users

Underage users of the Website are entitled to have access to the Website’s services, only with the consent of their parents or guardians and in general the consent of persons exercising their custody and are not obliged to submit their personal details. In case of such submission by underage users, the Website will delete the relevant information, while in case of inaccurate details the Website is not liable.

The name of the Website or any elements of the logo should not be used by others for any reason without a specific, prior written permission. The information included in this Website may change without a prior notification. 11. Governing Law-Jurisdiction

The present Terms and Conditions are drafted and interpreted according to the laws of the Greek state and are subject to the jurisdiction of the Greek Courts.
